Course Description:
This 8-hour class is designed for those looking to lead and structure group sound events such as drum circles, sound baths, guided meditations, forest baths, corporate retreats, kirtan, and sound yoga. Whether you’re guiding a meditation or organizing a drum circle, this class will provide the essential tools and techniques to lead with confidence and create a transformative group environment.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the different types of group sound events, including drum circles, sound baths, guided meditations, and more.
- Learn how to structure and facilitate sound-based group experiences for various settings, from corporate retreats to yoga classes.
- Explore the principles of leading kirtan, sound yoga, and other group sound practices.
- Gain practical skills to lead and organize group sound events, enhancing connection, relaxation, and healing for participants.
Who Can Take This Course?
This course is open to both the general public and to students of Rooted in Sound Academy Canada.
Number of Credit Hours for Rooted in Sound Academy Students:
This course is worth 8 hours of electives towards Rooted in Sound Academy elective hours. If you take this course and then decide to join Rooted in Sound Academy at a later date, you will be credited these hours.

Wyatt Mylius
Wyatt Mylius is a passionate sound healing practitioner and teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students at Rooted in Sound. With certifications in Peter Hess Sound Therapy, Gong Resonance Therapy, Nada Yoga, and Reiki, Wyatt's approach combines modern scientific principles with ancient healing traditions. He has trained with renowned experts including Peter Hess, Mitch Nur Ph.D., Mike Tamburo, Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary and Deepak Chopra, which deeply informs his teachings. Wyatt's classes offer an immersive experience that emphasizes sound's therapeutic potential for healing and personal transformation. His mission is to empower others through sound wellness education, providing tools for self care, balance, and well-being. Wyatt's teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that sound is not just heard but felt, connecting deeply with the body, mind, and spirit. He is known for creating safe, inclusive spaces for his students to explore the transformative power of sound, encouraging personal growth and healing through resonance and vibration. Denise Blaney
With a lifetime immersed in music, Denise holds a university degree in Theory, Composition, and Music History, and brings over 30 years of experience teaching music in elementary schools. Her journey took an exciting turn when she discovered crystal singing bowls, which led her to explore the world of Sound Practitioners. After hundreds of hours of training with leading experts and over 1,000 hours of research, she is dedicated to providing education that cuts through marketing hype, myths, and misinformation. Her teaching approach makes complex concepts accessible and enjoyable for non-musicians. Whether you need guidance in selecting the perfect instruments or finding the right sounds for your needs, she's here to help.

Participants are welcome to make purchases at the Sound Journey Store before or after training. If you would like a private consultation, we suggest you book the day before or after class to accommodate for more time.

The Closest airport is Hamilton which is 30 minutes away . The next two airports are Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Buffalo NY, USA. Both airports are 1 hour away.
Cancellation Policy
Our workshops typically sell out quickly. Therefore, we can only offer a refund on tickets if we can fill your spot with someone from the waitlist. Please note that if you cancel at the last minute, it may be difficult for us to find a replacement. Additionally, if you purchase a ticket and do not attend, no refund will be available.
Please note all classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrolment (5 participants) is not met.
